Jones Promotes “Something Special from Wisconsin” for Holiday Shoppers

Dec 2, 2015

With the most wonderful time of year now in full swing, many shoppers are looking for the perfect holiday gifts for their family and friends. That’s why Jones Dairy Farm, along with 480 participating companies from around the state, are asking shoppers to keep their eyes out for the Something Special from Wisconsin logo.

Created with a bright red background and white and yellow lettering, the Something Special from Wisconsin logo was designed to be easy to spot in the store.  The logo carries a meaningful message too, for when you see it you can be assured that at least half of the product ingredients, production, or processing has come from the Badger state.

The Something Special from Wisconsin logo can be found on everything from meats and cheeses, sweet syrups and candies, to soaps, candles, lotions, wreaths and more.  For example, Jones Dairy Farm, a sixth generation family-owned and operated business based in Fort Atkinson, is a proud supporter of the program.  The company produces their signature all natural breakfast sausage along with an extended line of great tasting products including dry aged bacon, naturally smoked ham and Canadian bacon, and braunschweiger.  Jones products are a perfect and delicious way to add local flavor into your holiday celebration.

According to Teyanna Loether, who is currently serving as Wisconsin’s agriculture ambassador known as Alice in Dairyland, “By purchasing Something Special from Wisconsin products today and every day, you are supporting local producers and processors, and the Wisconsin way of life by keeping those dollars in the local economy.”

Since 1983, the Something Special from Wisconsin program has been trademarked through the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
